Self-employed
A self-employed person is someone with the intention and ability to be self-employed in Canada. They must be either farmers, artists or in so-called creative occupations such as music teachers, painters, photographers, illustrators, film makers, freelance journalists, choreographers, set designers, coaches, theatrical and musical directors.
Further to that, also athletes that participate at world-class level who are working in an internationally environment and who perform at the highest level in their discipline can apply as self-employed persons too. In order to qualify for visa, all self-employed persons must have at least two full-time years of relevant experience in the last five years before submitting an application.

In case you want to resettle yourself in Quebec you must speak and understand French and have at least two years experience of full time experience in the profession you want to carry out in Quebec. In addition, you should have net assets of at least CA$100,000 which you can take with you to Quebec.

  • minimum net assets of CA$ 125,000.

An entrepreneurial visa is a temporary visa; within three years of arrival in Canada, a Canadian business must have been set up, providing employment for at least one Canadian. At that time, the visa becomes permanent.

Investors
